While some were raised by wolves, Zaiver was raised by women: fiercely protective, loyal, and badass. It was in this matriarchy that Zaiver began crafting juicy, dramatic stories with the Barbie dolls his grandmother helped him hide from his father. While his Barbie days may be behind him, the storytelling has only just begun. He writes about queens only: women and femmes who forge their own Queendoms in order to cope with their broken families.

Zaiver is a 2018 Annenberg Fellow and currently an Executive Assistant on Grey’s Anatomy.
